Dear Corporate Partners, Members, Associates,
Over the past few months, I must say thank you to all Board members and committee members for their contribution toward to completing so many activities and events with professional bodies and Government officials. Let me share with all of you for all the accomplishments that we’ve achieved within this period of time. They are as follows:
• Won the Asia’s Most Outstanding Facilities Management Association.
• Exchange of viewpoints with Secretary for Innovation and Technology (IT), IT Bureau during lunch meeting
• Joining Property Management Services Authority (PMSA) Focus Group meeting on codes of conduct and best practice guides on the licencing requirements
• Meeting with the ICAC on the subject of Integrity Programme for all members
More importantly, we have completed one of the largest events – Integrate 2021 in the form of hybrid setting in September this year. This was a great challenge that we had to face under the COVID situations, but still, with our collective effort, we were able to finish so successfully with 150 physical participants (the max. number allowed by HKCEC) and 304 participants via the webinar, in total around 450 participants with additional 20 speakers and moderators. We were delighted to have Mr. Wong Kam Shing, Secretary for Environment, Environment Bureau and Mr. Tony Tse Wai Chuen, Chairman of PMSA to deliver keynote speeches and to have Mr. Ben Chan Han Pan, Legislative Councillor and Mr. Alan Siu Yu Bun, Chief Executive Officer, PMSA to be our special guests.
As IFMA (Hong Kong Chapter) will continue to promote and focus on moving forward to accommodating to the new COVID normal by means of demonstrating the importance of environmental sustainability and work place hygiene and well being. We’ve learnt from the Government figure that the vaccination rate has reached at about 67% whilst writing this message to you. This is an encouraging indicator and tendency that shows us our society is gradually moving forward to getting back to a normal life. In this regard, we promise that we will plan and continue to organize more programmes to connect our members and to support each other for the aim of promoting our profession in the industry.
Last but not least, there are two important announcements.
Firstly, we plan to have our Asian Pacific Awards of Excellence 2021 and open for application till the end of October 2021. Please encourage your friends to submit their applications as soon as possible. The result will be announced in December 2021.
Secondly, we plan to celebrate the 30th Anniversary IFMA (Hong Kong Chapter) on 3 March 2022, please mark that in your diary.
Stay safe and Healthy!
