Quality Building Award (QBA) 2020 organising committee meeting just kicked off last week.
A committee member sent us an old photo of QBA 2012. The theme of that year was Building Excellence for the Future.
International Facility Management Association (IFMA) is one of the 9 founding associations of QBA and Jenny Yeung represented IFMA joining the QBA jury panel in 2012.
It is good to see that the market is having better understanding of FM in the past decade. We appreciate almost 90% of the building’s life cycle costs go to operation and maintenance of the premises. Workplace strategy comprises of FM, IT and HR becomes a significant component of organisation development, hence the importance of professional FM.
IFMA is the world’s largest association supporting FM. In Asia, we are hosting the Asia Pacific Facility Management Awards recognising performance of facility managers and FM projects.
The next IFMA Asia Pacific Facility Management Awards will be unveiled soon. We look forward to seeing you at the Award Presentation Ceremony to be held in Hong Kong in 2019 fall.
