Never stop learning. Join IFMA student competition to be inspired!

This year the competition has been posted due to COVID-19 impact. After weighting multiple options, IFMA is proceeding with this year’s Inter-Institutional Competition on Facility Management Project Presentation to be held on Saturday, October 17, 2020.

Competition is open to candidates in Asia Pacific region. All current full time or part time students, fresh graduates in Year 2019 to Year 2020, and alumni are eligible to participate in the competition.

All participants of the student competition will be sponsored by the Hong Kong Chapter one-year membership subscription as well as invitation to the student awards presentation ceremony to be held during Integrate Facility Management Conference in Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center. This year the ceremony will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2020.

Guideline of the Nomination

• Competition is open to candidates in the entire Asia Pacific region.
• Current full time or part time students, fresh graduates in Year 2019 to Year 2020, and alumni are eligible to participate in the competition. 
• There can be more than one team from one Institute or one Programme. - Student(s) could form teams to join the competition. Maximum 5 candidates per team. Single presenter is also encouraged.
• Projects could be school projects, or any research coursework done in class.
• Projects to be presented must fall in at least one of the following eleven FM core competencies:
  1. Communication 2. Finance and business 3. Human factors 4. Leadership and strategy 5. Operations and maintenance 6. Project management 7. Quality 8. Real estate and property management 9. Technology 10. Environmental stewardship and sustainability 11. Emergency Preparedness and business continuity
