Property Management Services Authority Conducts Exchange with Representatives of the Property Management Industry from Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Macao

The Property Management Services Authority (PMSA) conducted exchange today in the areas of property management (PM) industry operation as well as collaboration and integration of the industry within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) with representatives of the Shenzhen Property Management Industry Association, Property Management Business Association Macao, Guangdong Property and Facilities Management Association of the Greater Bay Area (GBA·GDPFMA), the nine PMSA Recognised Professional Bodies and two PM industry bodies of Hong Kong.

Chairperson of the PMSA Dr. James WONG said, “This is the first time for the PMSA to conduct exchange with leaders of the PM industry in Shenzhen and Macao. The exchange has demonstrated and strengthened the co-operation and integration of the PM industry within the GBA. I look forward to the PM industry in Hong Kong striving to seize the opportunities brought by the GBA development and leveraging the strengths of Hong Kong as the gateway to the international arena so as to create more room for market development and explore new opportunities together.

Chairperson WONG added, “I wish to express my heartfelt gratitude to Hon Tony TSE, Founding President of the GBA·GDPFMA, for the arrangement and facilitation which made the smooth and successful exchange today possible.”

The PMSA Recognised Professional Bodies and PM industry bodies which participated in the meeting include:

  • Building Services Operation and Maintenance Executives Society;
  • Chartered Institute of Housing Asian Pacific Branch;
  • Hong Kong Institute of Certified Property Managers;
  • The Hong Kong Institute of Facility Management;
  • The Hong Kong Institute of Housing;
  • Hong Kong Institute of Real Estate Administrators;
  • The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors;
  • International Facility Management Association (Hong Kong Chapter);
  • Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors;
  • The Hong Kong Association of Property Management Companies; and
  • The Federation of Hong Kong Property Management Industry.

The PMSA, as the statutory body tasked to regulate the provision of PM services by companies and practitioners in Hong Kong and to promote professional development of the local PM industry, aims to encourage and assist the PM industry and its practitioners to strive for enhancement in professionalism and quality through formulating and implementing a licensing regulatory regime and other complementary measures in order to raise the professional standard of PM services.
